Last week we were in Omaha, installing hoops and getting to spend time with the folks at the Abide Network. Because of you all’s generosity, we were able to give them a check from the #BetterTogether shirts we’ve sold.
Later that day, we asked Mr. Dotzler what his plans were for the money you had raised. He said, “Oh, well we bought a house.”
This home is about to begin the process of making it livable, for an incredible family in North Omaha. Now that is really, really, really COOL!

The vans that were purchased with the proceeds from the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament have already been put to good use. Besides being used throughout the year, this past summer they were used to make the trek down to Greensboro, NC for the United States Association of Track & Field National Meet (comprised of 1,700 athletes 8-18 years old). The Boys and Girls Clubs of Omaha had several top 10 and top 20 finishes, along with a National Champion in Shannon Brewer who won the 100 meters in the 10-year old age group.
This year was the 3rd annual charity golf event to support the Boys and Girls Club of Omaha. Director Fred Schott and the B&G Club of Omaha have made incredible impact in the lives of the youth, helping them to achieve amazing things as well as work to reach their potential. We are proud to support him and the organization. We finally got a nice day, not too hot like the first year, and not freezing cold and rainy like the last. It was a tremendous success, and a special thanks to all involved, and Shadow Ridge for allowing us to hold it at your golf course again.
