What an incredible day Saturday was. So often we only hear what is wrong in the world. Well Saturday we got to see what is right. 130 people gave up their Saturday morning. Dozens their Friday night. To help a school in Chicago start off the school year well. Through a fundraiser on Crowdrise students got uniforms. Backpacks filled with supplies because of the generosity of a local church (Soul City). And may be one of the coolest companies around, Converse, gave every student a new pair of shoes.
It’s good to know that there are still great people, who give and serve freely, without wanting anything back.
