ABIDE

To watch the video, just click the link: ABIDE from Kyle Korver Foundation on Vimeo.

You know when you meet someone that you want to be around. Their personality, the way they live life, well it’s attractive. That sums up the entire team at the Abide Network. Their hearts are too big if that’s possible, and they have been serving their community now for 23 years. And they do it all. Youth programs, sports programs, job placement programs, and one of our favorites, purchasing old run down properties, fixing them up, and then helping families become homeowners. So check out the video, if it tugs on your heart, look them up. Or buy one of the “Better Together” shirts, because when you really think about it, we are “Better Together”. Each purchase goes towards purchasing a new home.

DO THE KIND THING

Tuesday, July 31st, 2012

It is a great honor to partner with KIND’s Do the KIND Thing program and be able to give back to the city that has been so wonderful to me for the past couple of years. Our foundation will continue to have a presence here, even as I head to Atlanta. Through the partnership with Do the KIND Thing, we will be able to provide new school uniforms to hundreds of children in Chicago as they head back to school this year. A NEW ALLIANCE

Monday, July 30th, 2012

A fresh start. A new normal. Giving kids the advantages we don’t even remember we had. We never worried about whether we had a bag for books or pencils to write with. How can we ask children to achieve without giving them simplistic means to do that?

The KKF is partnering with Groupon Grassroots this week to make sure our kids in Philly do have those means. Follow the link to become a part of the solution: http://www.groupon.com/deals/grs-helping-hand-rescue-mission

LOOK AT WHAT YOU BOUGHT!

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

Last week we were in Omaha, installing hoops and getting to spend time with the folks at the Abide Network. Because of you all’s generosity, we were able to give them a check from the #BetterTogether shirts we’ve sold.

Later that day, we asked Mr. Dotzler what his plans were for the money you had raised. He said, “Oh, well we bought a house.” :) This home is about to begin the process of making it livable, for an incredible family in North Omaha. Now that is really, really, really COOL!

Blessed To Be A Blessing

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

What you allow us to do in Utah is truly special. Our grandpa always talks about how we are “blessed to be a blessing”. We want you to understand the blessing you all are, and are hoping that you will feel blessed back.

We work with incredible people, families, and organizations. There are so many that we are honored to work alongside. But sometimes you encounter a family who is exceptional. Their kindness and humility humbles you.

They bring out plates of food, come out as a family to help clean up, and engage you with smiles and laughs.

The Brown’s are one of those families. Max was born pre-mature, and has been in his wheelchair ever since. But the special thing about the Brown’s is that they love each other well. And that is really special.

Thank you to Home Depot for their continued support. Thank you to Trex and the new deck. And all of you who support Seer and the KKF. We love doing life with you.
