LATEST RAMP: THE CHAVEZ FAMILY08.30.10
Due to a condition called osteomyllitis, or bone infection, in Mr. Chavez legs, he had a bilateral amputation performed 5 years ago and has been in a wheelchair since. His home is not conducive to the use of a wheelchair, but we are fortunate enough to be able to equip him a with a ramp into his home. We also are now using steel handrails, thanks to a local Utah business. Thanks to all of you who support this foundation through Seer Clothing, without that support we couldn’t do the work we do.
THE LATEST RAMP IN SLC08.3.10

We want to share with you a story about a family in West Jordan. The foundation received an email through our Facebook link this Monday from Kris Keller of West Jordan. Kris explained that he was concerned about his neighbor’s Eldon and Susan Barlocker. Kris had noticed over time that Susan, 70, had struggled to move outside of her home and a ramp will be a great help to them. Susan was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), 45 years ago, describing her situation as ” …. being trapped in her own home!” We are excited to partner with our Seer Clothing fans to provide Susan a new ramp to her home! A big thank you to Kris for your bold selfless act to show kindness to Susan and Eldon! Living out the Golden Rule! Thank you to all who support Seer Clothing.

We have great prizes, will have booths for organizations and vendors, music (Courtesy of DJ Juggy and P.A.C.), and possibly some other celebrity appearances.
Also a special thanks to our good friend, Matt Mattson, for yet another fantastic design. This is the second year in a row, and one of many projects he has helped us create a design for. Supremely talented, thanks again Matt. And Maclain Nelson, for help with our videos last year and the ones coming out this year.
LETTER TO THE JAZZ FANS07.16.10
Hey Jazz fans! Just wanted to take a couple minutes and say thank you for everything you guys have done for me these past 2.5 years. I honestly had no idea what to expect when I came here. My Grandpa Korver always tells me, when you pray, expect the unexpected. Well, Utah was very unexpected! But man…. but you guys have helped make these past seasons the most enjoyable of my career.
I have a lot of respect for everyone associated with the Jazz. They run a 1st class organization and I am very grateful for the opportunity that they gave me. I feel like I grew as a player and as a person while I was here..and I think that has to do a lot with the company that you keep.
Several other things came up in Utah besides the Jazz. Seer Group and Seer Clothing are the results of the efforts of lots of people here. It is our intention for Seer Group to continue in SLC for many years to come. There are several purposes for our foundation, but one of the biggest ones is to say thank you. So, thank you to this community for all you’ve been and done for me and my family. See you guys next year. When the schedule comes out, I’ll have that Jazz game circled!
RAMP FOR THE MCEVOY FAMILY07.15.10
On Thursday of this week, Seer Group will be installed a new ramp for Trey McEvoy. We had the opportunity to meet Trey and his family last week in Provo, Utah. Trey, 6 years old, is a boy full of energy, from playing outside with his three brothers and sisters to driving his scooter with impressive speeds down the driveway! Although Trey suffers from complication’s of Cerebral Palsey. We are so excited to help the McEvoy family with installing a new ramp, to allow Trey to move freely around his home! The best part is: All the purchases from this weekend at the Seer Clothing Tent at Liberty Park and online are going to provide Trey’s ramp! YOU make this happen! We will have updated pictures for you on Wednesday. If you want to help with providing wheelchair ramps to kids like Trey, please go to seerclothing.com and join us TODAY!

This last week we have been working down at the Mission, cleaning up and changing the area where the kids go in and out of the room we rennovated for them. It used to be a bunch of broken glass, old bags, mounds of dirt, a broken fence with some bushes in front.
ant to say thanks to the people at
People often ask me how thing are going with our kids program at the Mission in Philadelphia.

Last year at the Golf Outing we auctioned off a shooting clinic, that we did on Saturday. We ran through drills, worked on form and technique, and had a great time. Here are a couple pictures, up in the practice facility at Creighton.
On Saturday, the day after the Golf Outing, all the former players and friends who came into town teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to work on some new homes that were being constructed. It’s a great close to a great weekend. Omaha will always have a special spot in the hearts of everyone who was involved.
With the money raised during the golf outing in Omaha over the summer, this is one of the things the Boys and Girls Club was able to start up. Great opportunity to learn about being on a team, and competing. We are really excited about it.
The vans that were purchased with the proceeds from the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament have already been put to good use. Besides being used throughout the year, this past summer they were used to make the trek down to Greensboro, NC for the United States Association of Track & Field National Meet (comprised of 1,700 athletes 8-18 years old). The Boys and Girls Clubs of Omaha had several top 10 and top 20 finishes, along with a National Champion in Shannon Brewer who won the 100 meters in the 10-year old age group.
This year was the 3rd annual charity golf event to support the Boys and Girls Club of Omaha. Director Fred Schott and the B&G Club of Omaha have made incredible impact in the lives of the youth, helping them to achieve amazing things as well as work to reach their potential. We are proud to support him and the organization. We finally got a nice day, not too hot like the first year, and not freezing cold and rainy like the last. It was a tremendous success, and a special thanks to all involved, and Shadow Ridge for allowing us to hold it at your golf course again.
